Steelwood was created in harmony with nature and takes advantage of its pristine natural setting. Hikers can spend the day exploring nature trails which wind through the dense pine forests bordering the lake and include a variety of ecosystems. Don't be surprised if your morning stroll brings you face to face with some of your less civilized neighbors - quail, deer, fish, and an occasional river otter. Blue birds, cardinals, woodpeckers, raccoons and gray squirrels are also numbered among our year-round residents.

Bikers can enjoy literally miles of secure roads, streets and trails for family bike rides. Our residents are encouraged to use golf carts as their primary means of transportation so traffic is seldom a concern.

My family is very active and from sun-up to sun-down and after, you never get bored. There is so much to do and enjoy.
